LE DOUAR BERBÈRE

For your complete relaxation we have five suites, two rooms, a large outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant with a magnificent terrace, private seating areas, a covered terrace suitable for yoga groups, a dedicated kitchen for cooking classes, all on an area of five hectares of unspoilt terraced lands full of wild flowers.

The construction of the entire village is in a typically Berber style crafted using traditional methods using the wealth of local knowledge from the Amazigh community. The mixture of ochre clay, stone and wood gives a unique charm amongst the green marriage of the environment.

The thick walls ensure good thermal insulation to keep the place cool and relaxing in summer and warm in the colder months.

Our Suites at the Maison d'hôte have a large  private balcony with breathtaking views of the Ourika Valley and Atlas Mountains. In the living-room, a fireplace gives cozy warmth on cooler evenings. The spacious bathroom with shower is made with tadelakt walls and floors as well as mosaic. You will find interesting pieces of furniture and decoration around the property of antiquity handcrafted in an age gone by as well as handwoven Berber carpets to complement the rooms.

Although the basic comforts are in the room, you will not find a telephone, radio, TV or wi-fi connection. Instead you will find a comfortable sitting area where you can be inspired while admiring the green valley and the High Atlas, allowing you space and peace to unwind and contemplate the wonders of your environment at our ecological hotel.
